FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

what is your food PHILOSOPHY

I follow a plant based whole food diet where I try to eat as many veggies as I can (though on some days I don't eat any). Even though I have only been following a plant based diet for a past two years, I have always preferred to eat vegetables and fruits. I also love nuts, beans, and coconut cream, and eating this way makes me feel the best I have ever felt. I believe eating a plant based diet is better for me and better for the environment, so that's what I do. But, as I have stated before, I don't like labels, as everyone is different, with distinct needs and lifestyle concerns. I do however, think that including more plant based foods in your diet will benefit your health enormously. I know it has mine.

where do you live

I live in the Dandenong Ranges, a very beautiful and lush area in Melbourne, Victoria. I'm surrounded by nature, great hiking tracks and good food, so I feel pretty lucky. Still, I dream about a large rambling farmhouse, an old apple orchard and uninterrupted views.

CAN WE WRITE TO EACH OTHER

Sure we can! I love snail mail and love receiving letters in the post. I love that people out there still take the time to write and send old fashioned letters in a world where everything is just so tech based.

IF you COULD ONLY EAT ONe THING FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, WHAT WOULD IT BE?

This is such a hard question to answer, but I would probably have to say pizza because you can include such a variety of toppings. Or is that cheating? Are you only allowed the same topping ? Hmmm...

WHAT IS YOUR FAVOURITE BOOK

I have so many beloved books it is really hard to pick just one. But isn't it always! I think if pressed I would have to say Alice In Wonderland. It was the book that taught me the magic of words and the power of stories. I enjoy reading it today as much as I did when I was a child, perhaps even more in some ways.

Where does your blog name come from

I have always loved aprons and have amassed a pretty large collection over the years, and I have always loved writing with nib and ink, so I thought I'd combine two of the things I love to represent my two great joys in life; cooking and writing.

Are these really frequently asked questions

Maybe... Yes. Except for the question about only eating one thing for the rest of my life. But it's a question I always ask, and think about a lot. I'm not sure why. I'm probably just a bit weird.
