Farewell Feast
A sad departure, but a splendid do! A week ago I hosted a potluck dinner to farewell my lovely sister, who is setting off overseas to have herself a grand adventure. Everyone brought something along and we shared food and memories, laughed and simply enjoyed one anothers company, surrouned by twinkling candles in an enchanted forest inspired setting.
A table for celebrating.
Early in the evening just as the sun was beginning to set.
A forest themed feast set the tone of the night.
A cute little nest as part of the decorations.
Vintage plates added cuteness to the theme.
Candles are always a must at a dinner party.
Getting ready before everyone started to arrive. Here I am wearing one of my favourite vintage aprons.
Two, four, six, eight, bog in, don't wait. We had a pot luck dinner and everyone bough something delicious to share.
Eating and being merry.
I just know at someone is saying something incredibly interesting.
A tantalising forest themed table.
Me and a very tired little baby Ävälon.
Me, Heidi and a very squirmy baby girl.
Talking and enjoying the night.
Why hello there!
Heidi trying to convince Ävälon that it really does taste good.
On it's last little legs.
And as the night wore on.
