Cacao and Coconut Bliss Balls
These delicious chocolately bliss balls are the perfect healthy snack. They are great to have in your handbag for when you get an attack of the "hangries" or for when you need an afternoon pick-me-up.
makes about 20- 25
What you need
1 cup of almonds
300 g medjool dates
1/2 cup raw cacao
pinch of sea salt
I vanilla bean, scraped
Zest of 1 organic orange
Desiccated coconut
What to do
Pulse almonds in a food processor until the nuts are very finely ground. Then add the cacao, salt, vanilla and orange zest. Pulse to combine.
Remove the pips from the dates and then add them one at a time to your mixture while your food processor is running.
When the mixture resembles cake crumbs it’s ready (the mixture should easily stick together when pressed).
To form the balls, weigh out 20gm portions, form into smooth balls with the palms of your hards, and then roll in a bowl of desiccated coconut.
Store in an airtight container in the fridge.

You can make these balls any size you like. You can can also substitute the almonds for other nuts if you prefer.
