Chilli Hot Chocolate

Hot chocolate with chilli first originated in Mexico and it now popular in many places around the world, including my household. I like to enjoy this on a cold winter evening as an after dinner treat.

serves 1

 

what you need

1 cup almond milk

1 cinnamon stick

2 teaspoons raw cacao powder

Pinch of chilli powder


what to do

Place all ingredients in a saucepan and heat gently, stirring every now and again. Take off the heat before it reaches boiling point.

Remove the cinnamon stick and give it a good whisk. Pour into a mug and enjoy with a cookie or two.
