Welcome To My Studio

autumn tea party

The wheel of the year turns and here we are, almost in the coldest season once again. I’m not sure why I find blogging so much easier this time of year. Perhaps it’s because I am inside more, cups of tea are close at hand and my fingers yearn for the keyboard the way they yearn to be in the earth in warmer months. But, despite the cosiness of indoors, I did manage to get outside and take myself on a date. I packed a book, a thermos of hot tea, and some pulla and set off with my trusty backpack and gumboots.

And it has been a little while. I was going to write, “where has the time gone?” But I know exactly where it has gone. It slowly trickled away while we made the move to rural Victoria, lived through (and then mentally and emotionally processed) the massive bushfires that devastated our town, burnt down one of our houses and all our outbuildings, while dealing with the pandemic, which has meant a lot of homeschooling and clever juggling of time. Not to mention, last year I had a rather bad back injury, which meant I could not even hold a camera to take photos. All this has meant that social media took a very big dive to the very bottom of a long list of priorities. But here I am again, trying to documents small moments of joy.

Love and light to all! xo
