Green Goddess Smoothie

Green smoothies just seem so healthy. And I guess they are. That's why we all drink them, right? This is the green smoothie I make most often as the lime and coconut reminds me of being on holiday.

serves 1

 

what you need

1 cup almond milk or coconut water

1 frozen banana

1 cup frozen baby spinach

1/2 cup frozen mint leaves

1/2 frozen lime

1/2 cup frozen pineapple

1 teaspoon chia seeds


what to do

Place everything in a high powdered blender and buzz until totally smooth. This should take about 35 seconds.


tips

You really need a powerful blender, like an Optimum or a Vitamin, to make smoothies from frozen ingredients. You don't have to freeze your ingredients, but I prefer my smoothies super cold, and like to have stuff in the freezer so that I can make a smoothie at any time.
